"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

Available to God

Yesterday I watched my best friends two older kids ( 4 years and 2 years old). She has been struggling the last few weeks with their youngest (9 weeks old). He has not been nursing very well so she was getting frustrated and depressed.
I felt the Lord wanted me to help her but with two little ones of my own I wasnt sure how I could. I asked the Lord to tell me how I could help in a physical way beyond praying for her. Well He answered my prayers very clearly. He wanted me to watch her older kids. Not just for a few hours but for a day or even two. This was scary for me I wasnt sure if I could do it all day or maybe two. But before my head got carried away I called my husband and asked if I could watch the kids. He said yes so I called her and asked. At first she said "Oh no thats to much for you to do" but I insisted and she stared to cry and said that it would mean alot to her. So I went and got the kids early yesterday and we had a BLAST. It was so much fun.
It is humbling to be used of God like that. He helped me through the day. It was such a blessing to me. My friend was able to put all of her attention into her sweet little boy and get some much needed rest. When she came and picked the kids up she was meet with freshly washed kids very tired from the day of fun.
This taught me that God can use me even when I dont think He can. He can do amazing things with me I just have to be will to obey.
I think I received the bigger blessing.
